ঘাটাইল ক্যান্টনমেন্ট পাবলিক স্কুল ও কলেজটি টাঙ্গাইল জেলার শহীদ সালাহউদ্দিন সেনানিবাসের অভ্যন্তরে প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশে অবস্থিত। জেলা শহর থেকে ৩৬ কি.মি. এবং ঘাটাইল উপজেলা সদর থেকে ৫ কি.মি. উত্তরে টাঙ্গাইল-ময়মনসিংহ সড়কের শাহ্পুর টি-জংশন থেকে তিন কি.মি. পূর্বে শির উঁচু করে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি। ১৯৯১ সালে উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক পর্যায়ে মানবিক ও বিজ্ঞান শাখা নিয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠানের যাত্রা শুরু। ১৯৯৬ সালে প্রাথমিক শাখা, ১৯৯৭ সালে নিম্ন মাধ্যমিক ও ১৯৯৯ সালে উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক ব্যবসায় শিক্ষা শাখা চালু করে। ২০০৮ সালে ন্যাশনাল কারিকুলামের আওতায় ইংলিশ ভার্সন চালু করে যা প্রতিষ্ঠানটিকে যুগোপযোগী ও আধুনিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের মর্যাদা দান করে। সেনাবাহিনীর সার্বিক তত্ত্বাবধানে গড়ে ওঠা প্রতিষ্ঠানটি স্বমহিমায় ভাস্বর।
